Vegas 8 Renderin = GRRRR

Postby Juubei Keisuke » Fri Feb 01, 2008 9:56 pm

I just spent a good week doing a Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal video in Vegas 8. Happy to be away from the lacking in power WMM, I was blinded and worked, worked, worked. I had used DVD Catalyst awhile back to convert a dvd or two of Kenshin, Trust and Betrayal and some Kare Kano for my PSP. Low and behold, estatic that a weeks work on Vegas 8 proved some pretty orgasmic work (to me) and I go to render the film. Vegas renders the video in five seconds, like an Alzheimer's patient, I thought 'Cool, I love this program more and more. I click open and my video is less the .75 seconds and it just shows a brief glimpse of Hajime Saito. I get pissed and look up for help. I'm getting that vegas 8 gets an upset tummy with Xvid/divX .avi files. I'm 10 minutes away from going postal....

Am I SOL or is there hope for this OCD mind.... I'm curious to a solution because wtf, everyone else had crashes and what not when using those type of files and I didn't, the program just won't f'in render my video.

PS: This is what the alphabet would look like of 'Q' and 'R' werent in it

Um, It could be the bitrate is too high for your computer, or lots of other problems. First off, try rendering the video @ 1000 kb/s. If that doesn't help at all, try sending it to someone else and seeing if they can play it, if they can it's a problem with your computer, if they can't it's a problem with rendering, that will at least narrow down what's wrong.
