Another Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8 Question: EFFECTS!!

Postby lingchou » Thu Dec 06, 2007 6:29 pm

[size=9]I want to know how to make an effect where the clip looks like its burning...
Example:
Y.O.U.T.O.O.B. Link.
watch?v=lr2aWATleQw (It's most visable at 0:35)
And also...I want to know how to make your cookie cutter spin when in its a bar-shape...o.o
Example xD:
(Same Link)
watch?v=lr2aWATleQw At 0:59
And also...I don't know if its possible to do this on Vegas but on that video in the link, throughout the video (and at 0:54 and 0:59) she/he had an effect where a a picture of a design-thing was transparently swirling on the page. I'd like how to do that. (Again, an example of this is at :54 on the left.)
Yurh..Sorry for my noobish explaining skills. D:

Most of the effects on that AMV arent possible with Vegas. You'd probubly want After Effects for that..

Its an editing program,i suggest your search for a tutorial of it on google,it can be a little complicated at first, but its easy to get the hang of,go to google, and then try "After Effects 7.0 trial"

Cookie cutter - i think that if you play with the keyframes and the positioner on the effects window it should work, if not you can always use pan/crop to spin it.

burning - if you want to do it in vegas id say your best bet is playing with the generated media and make the background color transparent

for spinning design a simple pan/crop spin should do (along with panning it out far enough that its in the corner and reducing opacity)

While it might be possible, it's important to realize that it's also possible to cut down a tree with a pocket knife. It might not be the most elegant process, and it might take a lot longer to achieve the same results - but if you don't value your time all that much it's not a big deal.

I use it at AMV panels i run to describe what can be done with WMM, but it works on many levels.
