Vega Problem (Bought today)

For help and discussion concerning the Sony Vegas software.

i had this exact same problem a while ago, read this thread and it should answer your question.

generally what ive found though is slowing anything down will work fine in vegas, speeding stuff up can cause problems depending on the footage.

I have another quick question for you.

When l get parts together and then preview it in the window, it likes like its got graphic problems or its blurry, why is that happening and can it be solved?

Its like blurry on some parts or adds square or something O.o.

can u post a screenshot so that we can tell exactly whats happening to the image? it might just be somethign simple like a messed up PAR but would have to see it to be sure

I fixed that, sorry for the hastle.

New Question:

Can you lock scene so they dont move when you edit them? When you try to add a new clip it moves the others from original position, can you lock them in place so they dont move?

Disable ripple edits and see if that helps.

There should be a button on the toolbar. Otherwise, look for "ripple" in the Help menu index.

Thanks for the help.

I got another question.

I looked in the guide to vega but in my version 8.0 l cant seem to find the overlay levels at all. Where are they? It shows them in 6.0 but when l look at mine its just not there.

Can't help there. I haven't heard of that one before ("overlay levels").
