Is anyone else having problems with trying to use footage that you want to go backwards. Whenever I try to view it in the preview window of vegas it slows down, yet when I render it, it seems fine...

When you loop a region of the video, pressing Shift+B allots a predetermined amount of RAM to make the video run completely smoothly within that loop.

Was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem.

Currently, i'm unable to view video images for some reason in Sony Vegas. All audio tracks from videos and songs show up but the actual videos don't and nothing comes up in the preview video except for sound.

Anyone know what the problem is?

What codec are the clips in?

Not too sure how to check since i'm new to all this. I did however follow some previous instruction to use VirtualDub to change the codec for XiVD codec which is what i've done with the clips i've got

Sorry to double post but also thoguht i'd mention that when I go to import media and highlight a video clip, in the information box below under the heading "Video" its states: Stream attributes could not (stops there).
