Another Vegas question...

Besides changing the playback rate of a clip to slow it down to nearly freezing it, is there like a way to freeze the playback rate to 0...possibly using keyframes? My intention is to have a clip going at normal speed at a point then later, slowing it down to stop so I can greyscale it then maybe shadow the markings the person's face has if it's possible.

What about slowing it down in the process?

Right-click>Insert Envelope>Velocity

A green bar should appear; double-click on it to create a keyframe. Then right-click on that keyframe and click Set To, then type in 0.

ah cool thx, now my last part of the question was trying to make shadows on a persons face markings here's an example:
Image
notice near the nose and below the lip, it's shadowed darker than usual and kinda veered off down to the left. Is it possible to do that in vegas?
