media manager in vegas 6 and 7

Postby xDarkShurikenx » Tue Apr 17, 2007 3:55 pm

When i tried to install it the media manager part wouldn't work but the rest did. Then i decided to keep going so i opened Vegas but then it said Media Manager intilization failed. When i tried to input music or video it wouldn't let me. How do I fix this I already tried installing it over again. The same thing happens at the installation in vegas 6 and vegas 7

Media manager has nothing to do with not being able to see or hear your input media. It probably has to do with codec they're encoded with, what are they?

Turn off media manager from the preferences menu you won't really need it for making amv's. (this will remove the media manager failed to load error away)

Use Gspot to find out what codec you used for your encode. One word of advice, .flv quality is really down there with the worst so don't expect what you render out at the end is anything beyond ''ok''.

it violates the tube terms of service when people upload anime there (including amvs)

heck lipsync "video blogs" violate their terms of service

yes, most people here use dvds (it's supposed to be against the rules to use downloaded footage...but that seems like it would be near impossible to enforce)
yes, you can buy them in the US (as well as many other countries)

A few retail stores that carry anime are Best Buy, Borders Books, Target (at least they had anime...), Suncoast (dunno if they're still around)
there are a lot more...these are just off the top of my head

online sites you can buy anime on include: newegg.com, deepdiscout.com, amazon.com, rightstuff.com

suncoast is still around yes...

fye, sam goodey are also good places to look...

alot of the times in game stores they will have used DVDs, thats how i get alot of mine, cause they are cheaper...

i found the whole Black Heaven series for $40 (compared to suncoast's 108, i snached that up) and i got 2 hamtaro DVDs for $10

check out any place that has used DVDs you can find alot of good deals..

Gamestop, EB Games, Hollywood Video, Blockbuster, the local pawn shops carry alot of anime DVDs around here for me... and alot of the smaller game shops

I buy all my anime from amazon.com and rightstuff.com. If you look enough, you can get some great deals and most of the anime is cheaper than you would find elsewhere. Most of the single DVDs on Amazon are only $24.95 compared to the usual $29.99 I typically find at Suncoast, FYE, Best Buy, etc...
