It's called help. All programs have it. If you can read. You can figure this out.

k. Well not everything. I got the effect the way I want it, and got the effect to take the path I want it to take. Then when I go to import an AVI clip that I want to have the effect take place on, it says that the framerate of the AVI clip is 15.00 fps, and that the framerate of the effect is 30.00 fps, but that it will still load the clip as the background image, but that it may not look like what I intend for it to look like. Then a box comes up that says "AVI request format error." So , I go and change the framerate of the particle effect to 15 fps, thinking it will run the same so it will work with the AVI clip, but the same thing happens.

Can someone let me in on how to get this to work? Do I have to change the framerate of the AVI clip to 30 fps, and if so, how do I do this?

Humor me: what codec is the AVI you're trying to import encoded with?

Because your really vague "How do I use this program?" question wasn't answered? o_O

Don't go on the assumption that everybody here knows everything about every video-related program. Particle Illusions has help files. Use them. Experiment with the settings. If you've already done every single bit of that and you STILL can't come up with what you need, then re-evaluate what exactly you're trying to do. Maybe you're going about it the wrong way from the beginning. If all else fails, yes you may come back here and ask for help, assuming you can put your problem/question into a very understandable and explained way, explaining what you've already done, what EXACTLY you're trying to do (saying "I want to add effects to my video" doesn't cut it), and then hopefully somebody will be able to help you. But making snide sarcastic comments isn't going to help you along at all.

I'm not talking about how my questions on how to use PI or Vegas, they were already answered. Whether it was here or You.Tube tutorial, I got those answered. Did you actually read every post in this thread? >_>

Don't go on the assumption that everybody here knows everything about every video-related program. Particle Illusions has help files. Use them. Experiment with the settings. If you've already done every single bit of that and you STILL can't come up with what you need, then re-evaluate what exactly you're trying to do. But making snide sarcastic comments isn't going to help you along at all.

I never assumed anything about anyone here until everyone except 2 people in this thread started making wise cracks and making fun of my lack of knowledge about these programs. I then assumed that since they're making fun of me that they know but prefer not to help me, which pissed me off, but I never said anything because I wanted help. I made that one sarcastic remark because I now realize that no one will help me here and that they all prefer to make fun of me instead.

Also, you apprently never read my earlier question, the one that I am pissed off about people not answering. Here, let me copy and paste for you:

Can someone let me in on how to get this to work? Do I have to change the framerate of the AVI clip to 30 fps, and if so, how do I do this?

Let's see here. I apparently experimented with the settings because I changed the framerate of the particle effect from 30 to 15 fps. I re-evaluated the situation, thinking I may need to change the framerate of the AVI clip, but I have no idea how to or even if that is what I need to do. So then, I posted this question which I pasted again just for you and I am pretty sure I put it in the most understandable way I could put it. I posted exactly what I was trying to do in that question. All I want is a damn straightforward answer, not everyone coming in here making snide remarks towards me for not knowing how to do something. Is that too much to ask for?

uh dude not everyone is here to "make fun of you"
i didnt make fun of you... atleast not intentionally...

i have screencaps because its easier to just post them than to try to type out what i mean to say... plus they were made for people who asked the same questions before but didnt understand what i meant when i typed it out... and seriously whats easier: typing it all out again, or linking you to a pretty screencap thats already made and waiting to be used on my site..

I cant help with PI cause i have never used it... and the best i can say is the same as everyone else: try to figure it out on your own... so i didnt say anything at all... plus i doubt many people have used the program often..

I wasn't reffering to you Jaddzia, you and Crack were the 2 people I were talking about, the only 2 that actually helped me. kthnx again for that.

P.S. I like the screencaps. Very informative. =D

I just want some answers. If anyone here knows how to help me then please answer my question. If you don't then please don't come in here and make fun of me because I don't know. That is all I ask.

what you're doing is simply alienating yourself. we don't like lazy people here. we also get a bit miffed at people that help lazy people be more lazy by pandering to them. If you have a specific question ask it. "teach me to use this software" is not a specific question. having a rapid succession of simple questions one after another suggests that you are not making use of the help files or manuals that came with the program - this in tern leads back to the beginning of my post.

Must I repaste this question a third time!?

There. I even put it in bold this time. If that post isn't specific enough for you then I am sorry, I don't know of another way to put it that would make it any more specific.

I also pirated the programs since I don't have the money to buy them myself. Therefore I have no instruction manuals.

Now before you post again saying to stop asking "How do I use this program?" read that post that I pasted and put in bold because that question is in no way, shape, or form asking how to use PI, but how to get the clip I want into PI into PI, because the the clip's framerate and the particle effect's framerate are conflicting with each other.

And we now have no obligation to help you after that was admitted. Thank you and good day.
