Angle of Video (Sony Vegas)

Postby RIPmyprsoul » Sat Mar 24, 2007 6:07 pm

I have another question... :( If you were planning to put your video at an angle (not the flat way) so that the video screen was not pointing directly at you...how would you do it...? You know...like the Windows Vista commercials in that the browser is diagonal. I think you get the idea?

You can't manipulate the camera in 3D space in Vegas, but you can use the Deform filter to get a similar effect, if you tweak it right.

Oh sorry, I'm a little off today. As CrackTheSky said you can't do that in vegas.

Maybe download a trial of After Effects?

Vegas versions 5 and later have 3D track motion capability.

Go to this page and click on the small picture next to where it says "3D Track Motion".

Yeah, Vegas has 3D track motion. You just select the track, then go to one of the top pull-down menus, select Video, and then Track-Motion. In the window that pops up, you select the type of track motion in the top left corner.

It applies the effect to the entire track though, so any clips you put in there will be at that angle.
