Just take off your Xivd code, and then it works.

absolutely not.
if you have something encoded with xvid...and then uninstall xvid how are you going to play that thing? (assuming it doesn't have a fourcc of dx50)

before you suggest that someone can/should use divx/xvid footage again I reccomend that you take the time to read the page that the flashing text links to

seems that the wiki is down.
it pretty much tells you why using divx and xvid are bad, and to re-encode your footage with a lossless codec such as lagarith using virtualdubmod
all this can be found in the amvapp avaliable from the index page of Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides

just re-encode the avi or convert it. Usually .avi in vegas doesnt come with audio.

that actually depends on the compression of the audio :/

if you remove the audio all the more better O:

thing is the guide is sooo long it's hard exactly to pinpoint the problem.

I mean on one hand I want to see the clip that I want to encode (the XVID) but on the other if I can't use the ffdshow to compress it unlike the XVid compressor. Can someone just give me a simple link to the page that tells what should I do when I need to save my project (I think to Huffy) and then using VDUBMOD to compress it?

if you're too lazy to read the damned guides quit now. this isn't a hobby that requires minimal effort.
