Clips not rendering out of Vegas
My friend is trying to export a video out of vegas 6.0 but whenever she does, some clips come out blank. They show in the previews but not exporting. They are encoded with lagarith and she's exporting with lagarith. We've been working on it for over an hour with no success... any ideas?

Unfortunately, I had the same problem a while back, and I never found out what the hell was happening. All I know what it's the only time I had used Lags, and it was the only time it had ever given me those problems. It may be a compatability issue with Vegas, or maybe just codecs, I never really felt the urge to investigate because it pissed me off a ton. All I can really suggest is to try a different render method, iirc exporting in .wmv was one of the few formats that worked okay.

it was the same for me...Kristyrat wrote:Ah, that's right, the ones I had were sped up. (or slowed down, just speed changes, in general)CrackTheSky wrote:Would those missing clips happen to be sped up?
but my last one it was the same thing, no speed changes...
have them change the codec of the file (if its lag change to huffy, if its huffy change to lag) they shouldnt have to re-edit, just replace the file

For future reference, if you want to speed up a clip in Vegas, right-click on the clip and go to Properties, then check the box that says "Disable resample". That should allow you to render the sped-up clips without problems.Kristyrat wrote:Ah, that's right, the ones I had were sped up.
