Vegas 6 render problem

Post by psyimn » Thu Jan 18, 2007 10:33 pm

I came across a problem recently where once rendered in vegas, my footage is darkened almost to the point where nothing is visible. It previews fine and only when rendering is it darnkened. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

What do you see when you put it in VirtualDubMod? It may be a media player issue. This is just a guess...I've never heard of this problem either. Is everything black, or just really dark? It might also have to do with colorspace...but I doubt it.

Hmm :/

everything is not black, just darkened to where you can't make out the characters, let alone any animation....... :(

Well I got it to work exporting as a lagarith .avi as JaddziaDax mentioned. I don't know why uncompressed .avi wasn't working, any ideas?

Also I've heard that in encoding with HuffyUV you lose colors. Being that I've never encoded with HuffyUV, is it going to be noticable? The quality of my clips was the main reason I was exporting as a uncompressed .avi.

Huffyuv should be lossless O.o

Lagarith is also supposed to be lossless O.O
