Actually, I was referring more to teaching people how to get Vegas to accept VOBs via fake .avi files, but I guess that's more than just Vegas, so scratch that.
Well, it's a specific workaround that you really only need for Vegas (at least, I'm thinking of VFAPI) Premiere takes VOBs or even .avs scripts fairly smoothly, I think Magix can use them too.
Premiere has the AVS plugin, all other programs will need to use VFAPI as the EADFAG V3 beta guide outlines:

The current EADFAG uses makeAVIS for frameserver editing with AVS files in fake AVIs:

I know newer versions Vegas and Magix can import and edit VOBs directly, but without the de-interlacing and filtering that AviSynth/VirtualDub provides, you lose some potential quality enhancement.
