Actually, I was referring more to teaching people how to get Vegas to accept VOBs via fake .avi files, but I guess that's more than just Vegas, so scratch that.

Well, it's a specific workaround that you really only need for Vegas (at least, I'm thinking of VFAPI) Premiere takes VOBs or even .avs scripts fairly smoothly, I think Magix can use them too.

Premiere has the AVS plugin, all other programs will need to use VFAPI as the EADFAG V3 beta guide outlines: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtechbeta/videogetbmeth2.html. This includes Vegas, Magix, WMM, etc. (This part of the beta guide needs a little more tweaking, no?)

The current EADFAG uses makeAVIS for frameserver editing with AVS files in fake AVIs: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/videogetbmeth2.html.

I know newer versions Vegas and Magix can import and edit VOBs directly, but without the de-interlacing and filtering that AviSynth/VirtualDub provides, you lose some potential quality enhancement. :|

I have a question if anyone can answer it.

Right now I have a clip of a character of mine in game, running. I've edited it will effects so it looks like the character is running over a black background.

Now I want to introduce the character, to put that clip over another, BUT I want to shrink it down so its just up in the corner so the rest of the layer is open for text and such. How do I do this? I have the two different layers, but I want to move and shrink one of them so its smaller on the video.

That's not it. I figured it out though, it is the "track motion" setting on the layer itself.

So this place seems great, I just got Vegas the other day and this topic helped me a lot. However It seems that when I add a video file it only comes up as music, I think it is because they are downloaded files and not ripped ones, does anyone know how to help me?

i would run it through Virtualdub Mod and change the codec to something Editable like Huffyuv or Lagarith (and remove the audio)

Ugh, I bet ya I have the programs I need, just don't know where...I'll learn in good time. But if I need ya for anything then you shall be the person I shall call upon.
