Hmm, I tried Lagarith, and when i went to preview a clip, the sound was there, but no video whatsoever. :S Is that why you take out the audio? Does it somehow remove the footage? O.o

Damnit. It is all blurry in Vegas, but crisp in play. I am going to have to mess around with VD a bit and see what comes out of it. I will reply back later.

no you take the audio out to "save on space" because the audio takes up space, it will make your files smaller to remove the audio (plus you dont have to remove it in Vegas itself, so it saves on time, do you really "NEED" the audio?)

Yea, I got it all set. I ment Vegas was turning out like this when I was editing it that way:

The way i am doing it. I am putting it on Fast compression, and doing as you said, just trimming it out. I believe I have been using Microsoft Windows Media Video 9, seeing how whenever I play around with Lagarith, it only captures the audio. :S.... Doing it the way I am now though, as I said, it is going....ok.... for me right now, but DEFINITELY better quality than the MPEG crap. >.>

i dunno if this will help but i normally leave it at Full Processing mode, because sometimes when i use "Fast Recompress" it screws up my footage

Actually, Fast compressing seems to be going fine, jsut that it is a bit laggy in the program itself. Atleast though, The footage is close to crisp. :)

These errors just don't stop. >_<.... Earlier, the rendering was fine. As I kept replacing clips, it was still going fine, but at one point, the video renders to 15% and then just stops for a while, and jumps like 20 minutes in between %s that pass. I will wait 18 minutes for it to go to 17% and then when it does, it goes back up to 25 minutes total time....this thing is screwed up...

What the hell?...Either way, this site needs to allow for editing. :S

An edit button. I am usually familiar with these type of message boards, and I don't see an edit button. Sorry for any confusion.

Forgive me if you've covered some of these things in earlier parts of the tutorial, it's been a long time since I've looked at it.

-Editing VOBs directly
-Using the Trimmer
-Basic audio editing

That's all I can think of right now, but good luck on upcoming installments.

VOB editing... that wouldn't be any different than editing with avi or mpg.... At least to my knowledge. I rarely edit with VOB.

As for the others, :) ;)

Actually, I was referring more to teaching people how to get Vegas to accept VOBs via fake .avi files, but I guess that's more than just Vegas, so scratch that.
