Yes, you can. Click on 'media generators' and find the text style you want, or you can create your own by changing the properties. Media Generators is one of the tabs under project files, like where transition and video fx are. Hope that helps. o.O Just make sure that if you want text to overlay your video, put it on a seperate video track above your video.

And yes, probably some of the biggest reasons you.tube is not well liked

1. people upload amvs and claim them to be their own, and people on you.tube do not know that there is an a-m-v.org, so they assume it is theirs. o.o

2. people upload anime episodes. that's just.....wrong.

3. low quality, lags, etc.

4. you can get banned from you.tube for uploading amvs, whereas here you can upload them without worrying about that. isn't that easier? o.o?

Thanks.

And while I am sure that some people do claim to own the videos created here, a lot of the ones I seen say they get from animemusicvideos.org, that is how I found out about this site in the first place. XD

Most of the ones I see are from JCD, he seems to be well known, and I looked at some of his vids, he is a great editor.

Another double post. >_>

Okay, I added some credits, and now when I go to play it doesn't play, it says "Media Offline" on the timeline on every clip. What's going on?

Didn't wanna make a thread just for a simple idotic question, I have had no problems with Vegas so far, except this: I.finished.an.amv.and.I.rendered.it.as.wmv.Then..it...finishes..saving...and...rendering..Ok, now WhyTF do I open it, and all I see, is 1 second of nothing...NOTHING...I tried downloading huffyuv, and I just need to know how in the world I'd install it cause apparently, it says, right click huffyuv.ddl and select Install...There..is..no..install...button.: O

Someone please help me with this idiotic question, no I ain't a n00b ;D ...well, atleast with vegas, but that's it >_<

Wrong file, you need to right click on the huffyuv.inf file.

From the Huffyuv homepage wrote:To install Huffyuv just download the zip file above, uncompress the files to a temporary directory, right-click on the huffyuv.inf file and select "Install."

Worst case, you'd have to manually register the .dll.

...omg... Sony said that when I get update for Vegas 7 all bugs will be vanished... But now there is really big one.

Problem with Approximate time

It is not just little bit teasing to realize that I can't know how much time I need allocate to rendering. -.-

I just have to ask. With Virtualdubmod, what is the codec you need to remove the Divx YET keep it at a small size? All of the codecs i am trying are making it over a gig an episode, and are taking 21 hours to complete. :S

xvid >> divx but xvid is still not good for editing
x.264 >> xvid, but it too is not for editing.
lagarith is a good lossless codec, but that means that your files will be large

it's a trade off between if you want it to work and look good vs do you want to save space.

since you're eventaully going to be turning that episode into small clips, why not do it in virtualdub(/mod)?
this way, you can retain the flexibility and quality, but keep a relatively low filesize.
(~300 clips at ~1second each takes up ~5GB)

Yea, I am going to be doing it in VDM, but EVERYTHING I use to resize just makes the anime.....gigantic, and my computer won't handle 12 episodes of so many gigs each >.o.

Damn you Vegas, why can you not jsut take in the AVIs? >o<

instead of converting the whole episode
use these buttons to select the beginning and the end of each clip you intend to use:

its time consuming but worth the time imo.

also go to "audio" choose "stream list" and click button that says "disable" that will remove the sound for you... (that is unless for some reason you "need the sound")

I RECOMMEND using lagarith to edit with in Vegas, as its given me the least troubles...
but, you CAN edit with mpeg4 v3 it will just not play back like lag or huffy will, you might have to do "pre-renders" to see if the visual syncs up... (you can choose the option to render the loop region, that will make the render go faster...

ps mpeg4v3 is a "good" codec, but its pretty lossy, so you WILL lose quality.
