Which Vegas is worth getting?

For help and discussion concerning Magix's (formerly Sony's) Movie Studio and Vegas Pro editing software.

Just so I know in advance, can I break a picture in 16 even squares, and with that, I can add another square every few seconds.

In other words:

*Pic of screenshot*
s1,*few seconds later*s2, etc.

Well, you have 2 options:

-cookie cutter
-masking


IMO, masking would be the best

I'm again tempted to buy that version even though it doesn't have the DVD authoring software. There may be a time where I'll need more than the 16 tracks available to me with Magix and I'd prefer not to have to work with smaller chunks re-imported. But that day may be a long while away... :P

The DVD Authoring thing is only a DVD maker, right?
