I would suggest starting a thread in the Video & Audio Help section to help with troubleshooting of individual filters. You can also refer to the included documentation for examples of how to use the filters or check other guides such as AviSynth 101.

This will help to keep this thread focused on setup errors rather than AviSynth troubleshooting.

Updated the guide with new information to help get the LSMASHSource plugin working. Here is the rundown of the extra steps needed to get the new version of this plugin working on an existing install:


What You Need:
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (x86)

1. In the main PlayOnMac windows click "Configure".
2. Select "AMVpack" and then select "Miscellaneous".
3. Click "Run a .exe in this virtual drive".
4. Go to your downloads folder and select "vc_redist.x86.exe" and click Open.
5. In the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86)" installer check "I agree to the license terms and conditions" and click Install.
6. On the "Setup Successful" screen click Close.
7. Select "Wine" and click "Configure Wine".
8. In the "Wine configuration" window select the "Libraries" tab.
9. In the "New override for library:" box type: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0
10. Click Add then highlight it in the "Existing overrides:" list and click Edit...
11. In the "Edit Override" box select "Native (Windows)" and click OK.
12. Repeat steps 9 to 11 for "api-ms-win-crt-stdio-l1-1-0", "ucrtbase", and "vcruntime140" then click OK.
