You're not "pro" as long as you don't make money with editing.

If you think your level is "pro" than let me tell you this: You're probably only in the middle layer of this site. Just open your eyes and don't shamelessly promote yourself :|

A real pro doesn't use copyrighted material for their footage. Also colorful drawings make great use of effects, but r/l footage? not so much so. If this is a serious question I'd encourage you to cut down on the lame transition and fx and work on thinking outside of the box.

If this is just a poser question than yeah your pro, you tha bomb dawg!!
If you do not think so... you will DIE

Okay I try.

On YouTube you get tons of praise with increased popularity and why? Because they don't know better or are easly impressed due to low experience with really good videos.

Here, the forum itself is full of experienced editors (in terms of amv), you're probably in the middle layer or a bit layers under it. We have really high standards here and we see good videos every week. You're videos surely don't impress us much. We've already seen enough of those effects and sync and a lot of advanced editors are not into it. Also your choice of source is for us... well overused. We saw it a douzen of times. There is nothing new for us at all.

Your attempts of sync and fx can't be taken serious by a lot of people. It's okay for basic experience, but after some experiements it's time to move on and to use all the knowledge in a usefull way. Yeah well... fx that help the scene to express something. Not because of the coolness factor. However if you're going for the coolness factor you surely can't express with Video Copilot tutorials or presets. You better come up with your own not cheesy stuff or presets that are not already that common and wide spread.

and editing... well a short fade out to sync a beat is more childish than actually usefull. :| I'm the opinion that you need the balls to ignore beats and stuff for the sake of flow and atmosphere.

no i wasnt thinking of liking being a real editing pro, just asking how good i am compare to some other amv makers.

Middle layer with attempts to get better, but actually hasn't showed something which makes him better or outstanding from the masses in this layer.

This much is true.

As for copyright, a pro knows this:
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

I think "Pro" status is short for Proficient, not Professional. Anyone else agree? :/

Then that guitar thingies popped up and went dun dun DUN dun then those box thingies went zooming by and twirling around and shit. Oh god, then the hexagons popped up and I was like 'I just got a stiffie'. Then there was the circle with those thingies going around and I blew my load.
