OP for BETA

Postby animedays » Sun Apr 05, 2009 3:58 pm

Help :) !!!!

I'm willing to do an OP for some beta help.

It's my first sentimental/romance/serious/character profile AMV...and I was hoping to get some imput in how it's coming.

Song: Say by John Mayer
Anime: Bleach (I know it's over used, but I've wanted to make an AMV to this song for a LONG while, and didn't have an anime to match to it, and then one day I was listening to the song...and it struck me!) It's between Inoue Orihime and Ichigo.

Program: WMM (I have dl'd the trial versions of other programs, but I want to try them out when I know I'll be able to use them...unlike when I trialed photoshop and used it twice!)

I may not be able to get your OP up right away, but I will get it up! Infact, going to go do one right now :)

Thanks

Good ol' WMM :p
(even though I would go insane if I had to go back to it XD)

General stuff - since AMV-making isn't legal, it's blaringly obvious you didn't get the footage from a legitimate source i.e. the proper DVDs (not the El Cheapo bootlegged crap you buy off eBay), because of the subtitles. In my opinion, it's OK to use DL'd footage as long as you eventually buy something back from the company. So if you don't have the money right now, keep in mind to buy it later - from legitimate sources. And lets not forget about the music companies too. We hope they'd continue to turn a blind eye to this as long as they're getting something back - I know that I've bought more than I normally would because of AMV-making.

I don't follow Bleach, so those scenes were quite a surprise (even though I sort of know the characters). I liked it. :D

Points for improvements... hmm...
at 1.10, there was a weird bit where it slowed and the pan became jerky.
And when he's fighting Ulquiorra (???), I'm not sure if that footage is relevant - but I don't know the storyline. Mostly because of the lip flap (lips moving without words coming out) and also there is HEAPS of action in that bit, which does contrast. But that bit after is good, where Ichigo defends Inoue. Generally, I can't find any fault with the scene's you've selected. Maybe that bit with whatzizname at the very beginning, but it looked like you were alluding to the storyline.

Just so you know, everything I write is genuine - if I don't like something, I'll say it politely, but I'd never say I liked something or exaggerate if I didn't. ^^ And of course, only take on board what I've said if you feel it's right yourself.

If there are any specific questions you have, please ask. :)

Hey, if you wanted to OP my only Bleach AMV, that would be cool. But it was done a long time ago, so really doesn't need to be detailed. ;)
