Burly Op

Postby Autraya » Sun May 11, 2008 8:12 pm

I'll give out 2 free ops to different editors if you used an aussie song by an aussie band

No posting other peoples videos any anime is fine as well.

Now the catch is you must also accompany your post with an aussie saying such as "shez a pearla mate!!" and spell it with an Aussie accent it as I did there. (If you use american spelling you fail and wont get an op even if you meet the other criteria. (knowing someone Brittish, Kiwi or Aussie might help you with that)

Oh and by the way "fush und chups" is New zealander language not aussie that's "fish and chips" for the rest of the world or "battered fish and french fries" for the yanks, I say this only because someone brought it up on aim the other day as being aussie.

you cannot reuse sayings and I will know if you are making stuff up.

Also if some "non aussie" can come up with 5 aussie sayings (not already used) I will give out a 3rd op. Not that the first 2 ops are for aussies by any means.

Since I don't recall Any of the bands I used to be aussie, I'll try the 5 aussie sayings..

1. One sanger (sandwich) shy of a picnic [meaning: not quite there mentally]
2. Bevie (Drink) with the flies [meaning: drink alone]
3. Pinch your nipple 'n' give your nuts a shake [meaning: come to your senses]
4. That’s no skin off my nose [meaning: makes no difference to me]
5. roo (kangaroo) loose in the top paddock [meaining: loony]

<_<

google to the rescue?

2. Bevie (Drink) with the flies [meaning: drink alone]
3. Pinch your nipple 'n' give your nuts a shake [meaning: come to your senses]

honnestly I've never heard anyone use these in actual speach, although I recall some bryce courtenay novel that a small town hick said the bevie one... it was set in the 60's/70s though :\

I'd give that 4/5 sayings unless you can get another burly to say they actually tell people to "pinch their nipples n give their nuts a shake"

got a replacement?

If I was burly I'm pretty sure that would be my favorite phrase. :|
