I was just wondering if it's normal to give critique to other editors, when the person them-self has limited experience with making quality videos? I've been tempted many times to give critique, but thought it would be a bit like a finger painter giving another finger painter advice on quality (brush-based) oil painting. I think I'm somewhat decent now in terms of editing, but have almost little to no background in effects and making anything remotely close to artsy or deep.
I figure the most I can offer is "Well, it honestly got boring here. I have no clue how you can make it better in terms of effects, but I like flashy stuff and things moving really fast. Blood is kinda cool, too." I know some news is better than no news when it comes to critique, but I feel like an asshat when I can't give solid critique. Do you guys think It should be encouraged to give ANY feedback, even if it isn't at the same quality as a veteran?
Thanks in advance for your wisdom.
...and your base. Which are all belong to us.

PS: I bring this up because I posted my own stuff and feel like an ass expecting feedback when I don't give my own very often due to n00b insecurities. I'm willing to give it a go if most people don't think it's just annoying or thing it's counter productive.
