Streams of light in sony vegas 7

Post by Bonehimer » Mon Dec 01, 2008 7:50 am

Hello there , I am trying to recreate an effect I saw in this MAD watch?v=CWV_BVREoCI
1:42 1:49

Now in the vid you can see that stuff is happening in the background of the streams and in front of them. I tried to do it with the Light Rays FX but I can't make things visible in the background.

Weird... I don't see them in that video.

My best guess would be to key them out if they are a solid colour. That or somehow with masking.

Yeah they are hard to see due to the quality but they are there.

Pictures if they help, notice how they fly behind the characters and then pass in front of the hands.

Oh I got it, yeah you reminded me about the chroma keyer I was over complicating it with the Light Rays. Awesome thanks.

I see it. I'll bet my savings on it being masking.

you would probably be better at creating something like that with Particle Illusion
