Postby Vanity » Thu Jun 12, 2008 2:14 am

I have one fuckin question haha

Is there a specific place/website where you can learn alot of amazing adobe after effects stuff. I know some but gahd. most of you professeional editors know alot and im just curious. I kinda feel behind on special effects but i know they aren't everything. But yea just wanted to know if there is a special place where everyone learned their stuff. and i dont mean video co-pilot.com haha.

aside from its tech manual I'm going to make a huge guess that a lot of the effects they do are self taught.??

its a matter of playing with the program till you know it inside and out.

This place has a lot of tutorials, both video and not. If it's not one of the sites that you already knew about, then give that a shot. There's a lot to be learned there.

These are all the AE video tutorials they have.
??? yea ???

Experimenting on your own seems to work for most of us. Tuts push you down one linear path, and chances are you'll only be able to apply that specifically rather then using the techniques on their own. Biggest tip is if you need tuts to get you going. Watch them and learn from them but learn the techniques and not the final product.
