I want to do an effect where two clips are playing at the same time (one clip is supposed to look like it's fading while the other should play normally) but instead, it's only playing in order (one after the other)?
I use Adobe Premiere Elements 3, but I guess this effect can apply for other editing programs as well. Can someone please tell me how this is done?
Thanks.

Never mind! I solved my own problem.
All I did was add the cross dissolve transition between two clips and adjusted it so that the transition would cover both clips.
