Hmm... I hate Vegas, but bah, as long as it helps somebody.

Image
Press the Pan/Crop button to get to the Pan/Crop Window.

Image
move the CTI (the liney thingie) to where you want your zoom to start and create a new keyframe.

Image
move the CTI to where you want your zoom to end and crop the footage.

Image
the most important of them all.

I hope it helps.
really, I do, I spent like 10 minutes making it.

Thanks dude but Shinnie04's effect is like it's in its normal position then something zooms in but the original clip is still on its regular position.

Hmm... than it would be great if you could give us a link to that video, wouldn't it?
that way I'll know exactly what kind of effect you're trying to do.

*replace the booshack or however it's spelled with youtube*

at 43secs to 59secs

but...with your tutorial, mine ended up looking very similar to the effect above...*shrug* maybe not...

Oh, okay.
It's the same effect I showed you only with multiple layers (2) and the upper layer is fading as it zooms in.

Well, I've formatted my computer so I can't really give you another in-depth tutorial like before, but I can try to explain it to you, then fade it out as it zooms in.

It might take some trial and error, but you'll get it right eventually. this is how you learn.

Not sure how to do it in Vegas, but there should be some kind of command or tool that will do this...I'd use AE :/
