The Burning Dissolve in this video?

Postby Kaminyan » Fri Mar 28, 2014 1:29 pm

Heya After Effects junkies,

I was looking through a few of these Visual Novel OPs that just use all kinds of great compositing and visual effects and lately I've been trying to understand and replicate some of the things they do. So in this video I was wondering if anyone there knew how to go about replicating the effects used at 00:23, 1:00, 1:06 and 1:08. I'm pretty sure the 2nd instance might be closer to just some composite footage but eh I could be wrong, can anyone clarify?

Those look like SpiceMaster effects to me; it's a plug in that goes right to your editor. I'm not sure what it's compatible with but I've used it on my Vegas. It's very easy to use. The first one however looks different. That might be stock footage, I'm not quite sure.
