Vegas Border EFFECT HELP

i want to squeeze footage to fit inside of a border

for example

imagine this is a clip and the red W at the bottom is a logo



i want to add a border to this clip but i dont want to cut off the footage so i want to squeeze the footage inside of the border so it looks like this



how do i do it?

just add black solids to layers above the layer with your video on it and move their position so that only part of them are on screen on top and bottom of the footage. or you can crop by going to the dropdown menu in the pan/crop section.
