2010 Winter Olympics

Postby guy07 » Mon Feb 22, 2010 12:19 am

I don't know if anyone is actually following the olympics, but to sum it up: USA is killing everyone. They even beat the Canadians mens hockey team ... the commercial on TV said we were gonna win. Stupid lying TV commercial ...

I think I'd rather rape myself with a hot curling iron than watch curling. OR a curling anime.

I totally would too. Sports based anime tends to be epic on it's own and obscure plot anime (Yakitatte Japan for instance) tend to be even more epic. A fusion of such things would cause untold win to erupt from the very earth.

God Yes. I mean, I've always liked sports to a certain degree, but sports anime just seem to put them over the top and awesomeness. xD

Oh, and I got to admit.. I really like curling, but only because the Simpsons made it interesting. xD

Woah, don't know what happened but Canada just won like 5 medals in one day. Now we actually have a shot at third place in the olympics ...and the mens hockey team just smashed Germany and creamed Russia so I'm really anxious to see how we fair against Sweden and USA, if we can beat Sweden.

Fixed this for you. :nose:

Seriously, Russia was surprisingly tame last night. Full credit to team Canada anyway for a great win.

Oh ya! Womens team shut out the Americans to take the gold medal. They're lucky their goalies stepped their game up, that could have been a shameful game otherwise.
I'm amazed at how the mens team is demolishing all the other teams ... Maybe they threw the game to make it more dramatic or something, cuz I don't see them loosing that bad to America then stomping Germany AND Russia. Oh well, as long as we get some gold I'm happy.
