Did you click on the article? Before clicking, I was thinking of this too, but this newer article is talking about "cheapo red/blue 3D".

I can't find where I read it, but apparently the L4D player "halos" look a little weird in 3D. Also, when a tester was playing WOW, he had the sensation of, "oh I can't possibly click on that, that's too far away." :)

any chance they can do this with fear2? That would make the game a hell of alot more intense. Seriously...

If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

It looks like they will actually make the games 3D, none of that Red/Blue screen split BS.

I think that's the only type of 3D you can do on TV. (technically you could do active shutter, but not cheap, and the framerate would be poor - edit: wait no, you couldn't get it in sync) 3D in the theatres is done with polarized light.

Anyway, yeah.

The glasses used for the Super Bowl (and Chuck) were similar to the familiar red and blue ones, but with an amber (red + green) lens replacing the regular red one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereoscopy#ColorCode_3-D
