I remember starting to regret it at some point in the night, but the jager shots kept going down to Dan's horror.

I'm Russian so New Year's is always necessarily a family thing for me. However this year we did go to a party at a family friends' place and it was really nice. I probably ate more food, especially meat, than I normally do in 2 months, and tried some orgasmically good Russian blackcurrant-based liquor (too bad it was literally smuggled in by a person from Russia and thusly can't be found here). I should say though, New Years never did (and probably never will) associate with heavy drinking for me. It's more of a Russian equivalent of Christmas, and I prefer to keep it that way.

I did get to burn my face with fireworks a little, too, by totally violating safety regulations.

But I hope everyone had fun and I still miss actual heavy drinking occasions :amv:

PS - I'm returning to school tomorrow, meaning I'll be online again as normal.

i went to a russian friend's family party actually. they had 'os-ke-to'. they told me it was dinosaur. it tasted a bit like fish but tougher. it was nice though, we played apples to apples and somehow totally missed the time square ball drop on tv.

Hung out with a friend in Barrie. It was alright, better then other years I guess since LAST year I nearly blew my hand clean off with a fire cracker and the year before I was so hammered me and my friends ACTUALLY MISSED NEW YEARS BY A HOUR.
I didn't drink as much as I had hopped to, which was a downer. But the only reason I didn't drink much is because I was really high and kept forgetting to go get a new beer, which I guess was a plus. lol

We Rock Band'd it up, which is always fun. I had some champagne that I swear tasted like sauerkraut, but maybe my mind was playing tricks on me at that point.

Methinks someone accidentally got into the champagne vinegar... :uhoh: Actually, it was probably left out uncorked too long or improperly stored.

You mean having to kiss me? ;)

Also, I lost count of how many times I slid off the couch. When I checked my camera in the morning I found photos of me lying on the floor next to the tables with my hand over my face that I don't quite recall.
