I'm old enough to have little comments being dropped about depriving my mother of grandchildren. I've got a cat and a corgi. I have no desire for any more dependents, thank you very much! Besides, my dog is far, far more perpetually adorable than anything I could ever create:

Ok, she gets fleas, has to be chastised for eating disgusting things and enjoys killing small rodents, but you could say the same thing about certain human beings and find THEM to be social outcasts. Obviously dogs are operating on a higher level than we give them credit for.
