Check this site out: http://www.beautifulpeople.net
I'm ashamed and amused at this site. Mostly ashamed of the fact that it's canadian. I'm sure we've all seen social networking sites that pretty much revolve around looks but don't really say it. HotorNot was a good example, but that was mostly for shits and giggles. This site is totally serious: YOU CANNOT JOIN THE SITE IF YOU AREN'T BEAUTIFUL!
Here's a quote from the sign up page:

"Dear applicant,
Before you fill out the registration form consider the following:
All members/new applicants are required to add a photo of themselves to their profile, so have a good picture ready. Your appearance will influence whether or not the existing members will vote you in. Your personal information will also influence your acceptance. To make your profile as attractive as possible you will be asked to fill out a few questions about yourself."

So ...yeah. Thoughts? :?

To be able to use BeautifulPeople you need to update to a newer version of Internet Explorer.

BeautifulPeople operates on Internet Explorer Version 5.5 and newer.

It is free and completely without risk to update your browser and it can be done automatically by clicking here:

The site works fine on IE. Try that.

And just so everyone knows, i already sent them a email explaining how retarded that idea is. Feel free to do the same.

No, i'm mad because things like this are responsible for the whole "I have to be super skinny/fit and pretty or else people won't like me!" attitude some girls/guys have. There's very few things that make me really upset, that happens to be one of them. Shallow/looks obsessed people can suck my testicles.
Don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong the people being in shape. Just flaunting it and banning people who they don't see as "beautiful" really seems stupid.

This is a good thing.

People that insist on superficial looks as well as dumb enough to use IE DESERVE to be isolated. Keep them away from the rest of us PLEASE.

Retards that only want to date shallow people, I wouldn't want to know them. Glad they don't wish to know me as well.

I'm so many levels better looking between the ears than they will ever be.

Happy to be painfully ordinary looking.

Update. This is located at the bottom of the opening page.

"If you do not wish to update your browser but would like to continue even though BeautifulPeople will not work as is intended, click here:

Firefox runs their site fine enough. Pity the site is designed by a lousy web designer though.

Oh and further update, their "beautiful people" ain't really all that shit hot to be honest. And fortunately there's only 120k of these wretches. And on the internet, 120k is the same as nothing.

Hm ... I guess you've got a point there Sukunai. It's like putting kids in kindergarten. They can play with other kids of their IQ level and the rest of the world can ignore them just for a little bit. lol

But I still think they are arrogant assholes : /

Damn straight. Those glamor shots photo studios in malls across America specialize in that. ANYONE can look good, provided your definition of 'looking good' is a total slut who wears 5 lbs of makeup.

Well none of those losers is using an actual name, that's a red flag right there. If I am looking for someone, it sure the fuck isn't a damn nickname I'm looking for. No real name means no accountability.

Second, an education is just as easy to claim "oh yeah, I have a masters, suuuuuuure".

And third, hell they only offer a nickname, no accountability, why not just pick a picture of some superficial slob off the net, and claim it's you?

If I was actually looking for someone online, I would require an actual name, actual address, actual phone number, an IM program so I could see you on webcam, and a long list of all the things you like and dislike.

I wouldn't even begin to be interested in their absence. Life is short and I wouldn't be wasting it on vague unprovable shallow losers.

If the program is free, that's also a red flag. I'd be more inclined to trust something like that eHarmony service. At least they are taking the whole idea of finding the right person seriously.

And for all of us that have passed 40, we have the edge on all of these stupid retards, we know the truth. Everyone ends up looking the same, old and wrinkled at the very least.
Picking a partner for something as valueless as looks, which won't last, shows the person is too stupid to spend your life with.

Everyone ... except David Hasselhoff! That guy only looks sexier as he gets older.
