this seems to fly in the face of "I am not a crook"

"weapons of mass destruction"

and

"we had no indication There was a threat to the united states"

Perhaps the liberals lie more, but the lies hurt the country less.

I'm pretty sure house is right

The difference between Republicans and Democrats: Democrats learned how to lie and *look good* while doing it. Comb that hair back, put on that fake smile, and its allll gooood.

If I save the lives of 100 men and later shot a kid in the face just for the hell of it, does that make me worse than the president?

Wrong.

The essence of a good politician, is being able to look you straight in the face, and tell you exactly what you wanted to hear. Regardless of whether it was true or not.

Inside of every politician, is a person that also has a future in religion.

Democrats are politicians, and republicans are politicians.
Some are good at it and some are not.

Fear any good politician, because inside all you have is a good liar.

How many atheist politicians are there?

Hint: it's a vanishingly small number.

you don't have to be atheistic to be communistic ...

In fact early Christian society was heavily communistic, (allowing of course for the fact the word did not exist then.)

I'm using the term communist the way it is normally used in the historical context, not the way it is applied in generic internet put down usage though.

Communism makes no allowance for god. Not that it kept people from secretly believing. But they believed in secret.

obviously you must be thinking of specifically of Maoist or Possibly Soviet Communism ...

Communism in and of itself is not against belief of a higher being, it's just a strictly political or sociological system Only a few leaders who have missapplied the political system have tried to do away with religion.

Yes Marx was an athiest, but his social and economic communist philosophies was not concerned with if there was a God. Marx's Economy and Sociology is easily separated from his philosophy, and neither have anything to do with belief in God. It is quite possible for someone to apply communist sociology and economy to their lives without being an atheist.

"Yes Marx was an athiest"

Pretty much says it all I guess.

Pure theory communism is of course not an atheist belief system.

The US likes to think of itself as the protectors of the "right" form of democracy.

When you look closely, it's obvious the US is knee deep in religion supporting politicians. But that doesn't make democracy a religious form of government either.

It's just that the US recognizes the power of religion, and also happens to be a democracy.

I was only concluding communism was anti religion, because the country that gave us communism stomped on religion. Russia was certainly ok with slacking off on the religion hating while they were getting a pounding in the Great Patriotic war though.
Politicians use what works.

Ever notice how religious US presidents get anytime they need to score popular support?
