Another headphone topic...

Postby krzT » Mon Jan 21, 2008 4:28 pm

Sorry to add another thread to the Bashar & TJ headphone goodness, but I'd like some input on what new headphones I should get.

I've been using my Creative EP-630's for a while now, and I'd gotten very used to the comfort of these style earbuds. Unfortunately, I lost them while coming back home from Korea (they might've slipped out of my bag on the plane =[ ) and I'm looking for some replacements!

I'd like to find something with the same style earbud, but I want to try something new. I've found the Creative's to be a bit bassy (which I guess is typical with most portable headphones?). So I'd like to know your suggestions for something a little more balanced, but still portable. Price isn't a HUGE issue, though it would be nice to keep it in the same price range as my old ones.

Thanks in advance for your help guys =)

Earbud headphones are difficult to recommend because of how they fit differently in everyone's ears. I'm actually not a fan of them myself (I like big headphones that cover my entire ear). I do suggest these ones though:

They're discontinued now, but you can find them for about $60 on ebay - maybe even check pricegrabber. I believe they come with different earpiece sizes that you can change to fit your ear better, plus the sound is great.

That's nothing. Shure's top of the line buds are something closer to $500...

Yeah.

Koop: thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into them. (and thanks Atom for the link).

Has anyone else had a really good experience with portables or have a pair they'd like to recommend? I've been looking at the Sennheiser CX400's. Does anyone have an idea of what those may be like?
