Umm.. I've only been here for about 2 years now, but I really like the current community. ^_^
I remember an old forum I used to be on. FFX2.net, which I thought had the best forum in the world (wasn't even about FFX2, it was more about world issues, political debate, readers/writers corner, ect.). I was a member for a good while. Then, FFX2 got relased, and the game sucked. The forum started losing members, since not many people wanted to be affiliated with that game. So, eventually, it died. I was pretty upset about it, and went forumless for a while.
But I got over it. I came and found this forum, and got involved in this community. From my personal expierences, the moderation and administration has done a pretty dang good job for the people. The mod box is frequently taken care of, we keep innapropriate conversation out of the topics, and the quality of the site (in two years at least) has seemed to increase for me.
Then again, maybe in a few years, these will be the "good ole days" for me, and things might change. I'll just roll with the punches.
(just my two cents)

Except I actually started out by being a jerk on the forums. I think my first actual thread was something along the lines of "If the community standard is to not use downloaded footage, what does the community suggest be done if the R2s aren't even out yet?"
Tab - there are plenty of places still around to be an asshole on the internet to feel cool. SA, all the places that SA spawned...
