I was very uncomfortable watching loli stuff in animes (for a lot of them have loli related stuff) but I'm just kinda used to it now. It's rarely about rape or any other abuse, nor is it hinted directly. However, for me the idea of idealizing the little girl -look and making it sexual is somewhat disturbing, even if the character was actually much older. It's just the question about are you allowed to get excited over a girl that looks more or less like a 9-year-old.

Anyways, it obviously doesn't always have the sexual aspect. The best example I've seen would be Loveless that has a relationship between a 12-year-old guy and a 19-year-old guy (lolz, guy-loli..) there just isn't anything sexual about their relationship, apart from a few kisses. Sure, Soubi is all like "omfg, you are so cute!" but that has no relevance. So, what's so wrong here anymore? No sex or abuse involved.

Look at it this way, it's common knowledge that people who watch porn constantly do so because it features things they lust after in real life but can't get (rape, threesomes, real live adult human females with watermelon jugs, etc). So when other people watch tons of porn featuring babies, it's obvious what they lust after. Don't sugar coat it. Shota fans get off on little boys and loli fans get off on little girls. They lust after children.

I don't have a problem with animated child porn. There are no actual children involved and if it keeps the people who like that sort of thing occupied, all the better. Girls who like yaoi aren't going to go around raping guys with strap-ons, so I doubt our loli fans are going to be attacking little girls any time soon. As long as they label their vids with the proper warnings, people who don't like it don't have to watch it.

Note: Loveless is adult/teenager, not quite as disturbing as adult/baby pairings. I don't particularly like Loveless, but I draw a line at teenagers. I figure if they're old enough to make babies, at least they're physically mature enough for sex which puts it way above most child porn.
