yeah this is my first time using photoshop :O (gasp) but yeah it was more of an experiment banner than everything, and the biggest flaw was the AMV flower logo :/

I'm getting better though?

also the white text doesn't look all that great either. a bit plain too IMO...

I have a theory that a banner (let's say it's a decent one, not like this one) that is among 9 bad looking banners is more likely to become worthy than one that is among 9 pretty shiny banners that kinda pwn that one because it's a bit plain compared to the others....

or just the majority either way....who knows

as far as your theory goes, its pretty right on the money...

if you have 10 good banners any of them are less likely to get worthy as if you have 1 good banner among 9 bad ones...

ive watched banner voting a long time and that seems to be how it always ends up

also when the new logo comes out, you are more than likely to get worthy banners than right before the end of the previous logo

hmm...I think Sora lost because the text is too overused, and I realized (right after submitting it mind you) that there was a Sakura banner with the same saying right above me. Ouch >.<

and the Osaka one was just a joke, I didn't expect it to win anyway. I actually thought it was gonna be rejected because it was so pointless XD but uh....Osaka beat out Sora???? WTF???? DEWD!!!!

but still....VAST improvements over what I WAS making
