St Vincent. I Guarantee none of you (or at the least a very small amount of you) ever heard of that ;p

Ok Technically I was born in New york due to certain circumstances, but most of my childhood was in St Vincent so I consider that home. I hardly even know new york.

I was born (and currently living) in Minneapolis, but for most of my life I grew up in Bloomington (a couple miles south of Minneapolis). It was a small and quiet suburb up until the Mall of America was built back in 1992.

lol... I think Ft Hood would be considered "home to itself" where as Killeen (yes i named it) is the shithole next to it that "feeds off of the soldiers" with all their "we support our troops signs" which translates to "please spend your money here"

i didnt know about the shooting thing, >.>

is there a school in this specific city that is above HS level? (other than the "technical colleges" they advertise at the pos movie theater) if there is, they are hiding it.

Drive out the Clear Creek gate of Ft. Hood, and go across 190. You'll see Tarleton State University to your right. :)

And I'm in Kuwait right now. Will be back...eventually...not sure since this whole "three-month extension" brouhaha started.

I haven't lived anywhere long enough to be "from" anywhere, so let's see if anyone recognizes a list of places I've lived.

Athens, Greece: You know...the Parthenon....tsatsiki sauce....Olympics..any of this ringing a bell?

Washington D.C: Some sort of like..president or czar or something lives here. Also, I think that it might be our nation's capitol.

Honolulu, Hawaii: It's a good place to get lei'd.

Bainbridge, OH:
The home of the world's first dental museum! Image

Chicago Heights, IL: It has the name "Chicago" in it.

Mesa, AZ: Speaking of Chicago, this is where the Cubs spend their spring training. It's a bedroom community. Bow chicka WOW WOW.

Chillicothe, OH: "Ohio's first, third and fifth capitol!" (every sign leading into the city said this.)

Vigo, OH "Suburb of Ohio's first, third and fifth capitol!"

Rush City, MN: They gots a roller-rink named "Rollerdrome". And that is NOT spelled wrong.

Cottage Grove, MN: Seann William Scott (American Pie, Dude, Where's My Car?) went to the same high school that I did. :o

South St Paul, MN: It's like St Paul. But like, right under it, a five minute drive would put you in St Paul. It's basically all banks and bars. So you can get cash and get trashed.

Chicago, IL: Um...home of ACen.

(there are more in Kentucky and South Carolina, but I don't remember the names of the city, I was too young.)

Is there any chance you know a girl named Hannah George, if not, ask your dad if his principals name was mr.george. That's her dad, she says everyone there knew him.

/bumps the frappr page

west hartford would be my hometown. it's a rich jewish suburb of the insurance capital of the world (hartford). noah webster lived here. aside from shopping, there's not too much to do in town.

i just moved down the road (I-84) to sandy hook. it's another rich suburban town, although not as dense. i'm still learning more and more about the town.

I do not, Castlegar is reletivetly sized, and far enough away that we don't actually have much contact with people there.

And three problems with that. My dad died 8 years ago, grew up in Saskatchewan and would have been 63 this year. Unless her dad has been a principal for 45 years+, it would have been doubtful.

Just cause everyone in Castlegar knew him, means nothing out here in the boonies :P

Mmmm.... depends on what you mean.

"My town" is officially and always will be St. Petersburg, Russia. I've no reservation in saying I love that city, and, at any realistic opportunity, I'd go and live there again. It's the most northern city in the world of over a million people (and it has 5 million); it was founded by Peter the Great in 1703 as a new Russian capital and built largely on a plan, meaning that unlike many old cities, it's not a random collection of buildings but consists of carefully-arranged ensembles. The old part of St. Petersburg is officially recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Lots of history; lots of museums too, not the least the infamous Hermitage, the largest museum in the world.

Which will always be known as Leningrad to us old folks ....

I've still got a medal that says "born in Leningrad" :P

But eh, St. Petersburg is older than old folks, plus unlike Leningrad it has a highly usable shorthand - "Piter". I'm from Piter.
