In general I'd like to say I am more relaxed on the internet than in real life - mostly because it's easier to choose what sites I go to than what classes I go to. If someone on the internet is bothering me he/she is easier to ignore, while in real life I just get angrier because half the time they don't shut up and that IS the problem...

Other than that I'm pretty much the same in each.

Taking myself seriously on the internets? OMG NO WAI.

This thread is stupid,if someone takes themselves seriously on the internet, then that's just not healthy.

I don't even take myself seriously in real life. If anything, I'm more serious on the internet.

Some times people on forums can get to me, but I'm just like that in life.

Biggest mistake I made in my life, was being the real me on the internet.

Fuck that was utterly stupid of me.

So I sure fixed that mistake real damn quick.

I wouldn't say I take myself seriously as such, nor do I take others too seriously either.

However, I do believe that people shouldn't act like asses towards others just because they're able to hide behind a screen.

One can take oneself lightly and still treat others with respect. But I get you point

I'm pretty different online than I am in real life. In real life, I'm quiet and keep to myself a lot. I have trouble making conversation a lot of the time. Still, I'm a pretty easy going guy and I get along with pretty much anyone, even if they are an asshole to me. It sometimes surprises me if people around me start talking about how they hate such-and-such person, I'll always be sitting there thinking something like "what, i thought they are a pretty nice person... eh, you hate them for such a trivial reason?"

Online, I pretty much say what I wanna say, and a lot of it is things that I would never say in real life. If I act like an asshole sometimes, its usually just in a joking manner, or I at least hope people see it that way.

That brings to mind a question, is it better to be consistent and be an asshole in real life as well as online or is it preferable to know that even if a guy is a dick online at least he's nice in real life?
