It says I earned a new suscriber but it says that until they create the account they will start watching the channel's stuff.
Does anybody has gotten a similar message?
It's the new privacy policy, all services provided by Mountain View will be merged, so every time you use those
services information about, more or less, whatever you do with your computer will be collected by MV servers. On
YT it doesn't matter if you have an account or not, you will be always recognized as a Google user and allowed to use all of them (plus even if you
shut down all your Google accounts, when you start again with another one it will be associated with the previous).
In other words this kind of information will be stored on their servers perhaps permanently.
BTW a couple of weeks ago the EU asked Google for more informations about the new privacy policy and charged the Cnil (the French privacy authority) of an investigation about that policy and the security risk that it could cause for users. Yesterday Cnil answered that the new privacy policy breaks European law about data protection and it's not clear how Google is going to collect and use these information, in particular the use of cookies and data collected from different services. Then they sent a mail to Larry Page (MV founder) asking to suspend the new privacy policy until they answer a Cnil questionnaire about the nature of the data collected by Google and their comparison.
