I don't know why I never saw this thread before, I like what I'm hearing.
Gigatless, "Take Me Far Away" sounds like all it needs is Robert's vocals to be a Machinae Supremacy song. Really nice playing!
And "Breadcrumbs" is effing phantastic, Phan. I'm a fan now, really soothing. Is everyone using acoustic/electric instruments, or synthesizing on a DAW or something?
I drum for The Melograv Device and side project We Are. We have a demo with most of our early stuff, but an album should be coming very soon.
I've been experimenting with metal and jazz so that I can groove on complex time signatures and polyrhythms (of which there'll be lots in our upcoming album) more fluidly, but here are some simpler ones from a fun live performance a little over a year ago:
We Are with a song that gets people hyped:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnTBTaoE2yw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
The Melograv Device with some progressive metal (in a video where I'm NOT totally covered):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm0yLfUbK50&feature=youtube_gdata_player
