For those who missed TotalBiscuit's commentary on the SOPA and PIPA bills, here's the link:

I'll be seriously affected for this SOPA law. Like what happened 7 years ago when the anime was forbidden. Another reason I hate politicians

Not quite true for me. I've been following politics since I was 14 years old. However, it's sadly true in most cases, especially since some teenagers can't even define what capitalism and communism are (at least from my experiences). Another thing that annoys me is when teenagers wear Che Guevara shirts without knowing anything about the guy.

Some?

I mean, considering the way that 'communism' and 'socialism' are the political boogeymen of the US' right-wingers and their favorite slur against anyone that's even remotely centrist or left-leaning, you can't even count on the adults to know the difference either.

Actually, this is quite true. A few weeks back I had to explain the difference to someone in their 50's...

Jan 14 02:04:12 <G_Q> ... and now the anti-SOPA boycotts begin. >_>
Jan 14 02:04:41 <Niotex> 18th almost all the sites I frequent will go black because of SOPA
Jan 14 02:04:51 <G_Q> Apparently, there's movement towards a widespread January 18th shutdown of sites and some abandonment of E3 due to ESA's support.
Jan 14 02:04:52 <Niotex> I have no use for inflight WiFi anymore T_T
Jan 14 02:04:54 <FS[Sleep]> who is for sure going dark?
Jan 14 02:05:10 <G_Q> Mojang & Minecraft
Jan 14 02:05:17 <G_Q> Firefall
Jan 14 02:05:21 <Niotex> Reddit and a lot of the blogs and channels I visit
Jan 14 02:05:44 <Niotex> I think a lot of the torrent trackers and sites are going down too
Jan 14 02:05:46 <Niotex> Actually
Jan 14 02:05:51 <Niotex> Why isn't the org going black?
Jan 14 02:06:08 <Niotex> We have just a big a steak in this as all those other distrobution networks
Jan 14 02:06:43 <Niotex> We're the main demographic SOPA is aimed at afterall
Jan 14 02:07:18 <Niotex> John, make it happen. 18th we go dark and default to a anti sopa page
Jan 14 02:07:22 <Niotex> ;|
Jan 14 02:07:24 <FS[Sleep]> *stake
Jan 14 02:07:30 <Niotex> I want steak T_T
Jan 14 02:07:31 <Niotex> shh
Jan 14 02:07:41 <Jadecavy> weeaboos and furries?
Jan 14 02:07:44 <Niotex> I wish we had a steak in it
Jan 14 02:07:49 <FS[Sleep]> steak is awesome
Jan 14 02:08:03 <FS[Sleep]> but only if it's medium rare
Jan 14 02:08:40 <Niotex> Really though, we're the users that mix and share copyrighted material under the freedom of creative commons
Jan 14 02:08:52 <G_Q> No can do.
Jan 14 02:08:53 <G_Q> Even if we could reliably do it, we already have plans behind the scenes.

Sadly I have no reason to contradict what you're saying. You're absolutely correct, a lot of people still can't define what communism and socialism are.
