I saw the E3 stuff on it, and it looks like its going to be a download only console :( also too expensive like the 3DS
However the lbp stuff definitely interests me still.

*before E3* "Wow! I'm so excited for the new PSP! This is gonna be awesome :3 The 3DS was pretty neat-o but this is gonna blow it out of the water! :D"

*Sony Conference* "Oh God D: Why would they choose such a horrible name for their new handheld? The NGP sounded so much sexier...I feel like they're marketing a health drink, not something for portable gaming...oh well, let's check out the games :D Wait a minute? No output? I have to watch them demo the games over some Asian dude's shoulder? Something fishy is going on here...and WTF?! All the F'ING games are ports and bullshit!? WAIT- DID HE JUST SAY AT&T?! GAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! >_o WHO GIVES AN F ABOUT MOD RACER? WHERE IS THE ORIGINAL CONTENT? Fuck 'Vita'..."

*Nintendo Conference* "Ugh, here we go again -_- Yes, we already know about the Wii...oh hey, they've actually got quick a bit coming out for the 3DS o: I mean, quite a few are remakes but they still look pretty spiffy :3 And the games we already have for the 3DS are actually really fun and good looking...Hmm :3 Maybe Nintendo isn't so bad after all ^^"

*after E3* "Dear god...I enjoyed Nintendo announcements the most out of the big 3 D: WHAT HAVE I BECOME?!"

Recently picked up the 3DS... so far not impressed, so for nostalgic sake, I picked up Zelda: Ocarine of Time 3D.

As for the Vita? I'll wait for the price drop like a did for the 3DS, looks promising though

Vita looks pretty cool, considering getting it at launch if not just for a portable LBP that allows multiplayer. Nothing else that really interests me at the moment though game wise, but but of course that will come later.

I dont understand why people complain about the name though. Its just a name >>

About time they added touchscreen capabilities. If they had that on the original PSP and also not used some stupid media format, the thing would have killed everything else on the market.

I think the age of the good handheld is past us right now... It'll come back in like 10 years.

That's still a big "if" on Sony's part, since they seem to credit their console as worth the release price they set. Japanese analysts apparently are strong-arming Sony into considering a price drop, and it seems from the press releases that they really have some influence over a company's actions, so it's always possible.

(Of course, similar analysts are also trying to get Nintendo to abandon it's first-party 3DS focus and publish Mario and company on Apple iOS and Android. :uhoh: )

I feel about the Vita the same as I do about the 3DS, when there's enough games to warrant it, I'll get 'em. So far, there's only like 1 or 2 games I'd want, for each handheld, so I haven't bought 'em yet.

The thing that'd make me want to pick up Vita is if it has some way to play the psp games I own physical copies for without having to buy them again. On top of that, if it allowed me to play them on my TV rather then just on the handheld.

I spend very little time anymore in places where a handheld game is useful, so I'd much rather play the games on my TV instead. If I had those possibilities, I'd think about it. Though probably after a price drop.

x2

ESPECIALLY after the 3DS disaster and then having a massive price drop so quickly, I'm leery of consoles/handhelds nowdays. :uhoh:

Well it goes with out saying that we all want it to be cheaper lol. I have to day that some of the features on this thing are amazing. There's a touch pad on the back, so you can stroke it and make a character run or climb or whatever. Dual cameras to take your surroundings and use that in the game. DUAL ANALOG STICKS! Sort of iffy on the front touch screen tho. Who want's to move their hands from the controls to touch the screen when you have all the controls right there? Graphics look amazing and the big screen is a plus for me. I'll probably pick this up when my PSP2000 dies. Also, I don't mind the all downloaded content aspect of the system. Just be sure to have a back up file on your computer. :D
