Hey, I Googled this a bit, but I didn't quite find the answer I was hoping for, so I'll throw it out to you guys.
I have a Dell laptop that's running Windows XP, and my battery has been faulty for a while. I don't actually care about that. The laptop is always plugged in anyway. What I do care about is the fact that when I restarted it today, the battery light started blinking orange. It's like the idiot lights in cars. It doesn't actually hurt anything, but damn it, it's distracting.
So what I'm wondering is this: is there a setting in the computer that I could change to disable that light? I don't want to remove the battery (or tape over the connections for it) if possible, but if that's the way it goes, then it's okay. I just figured I would ask before physically changing the thing.
Thanks, techies.
