Re: POKEMON
There have been damage calculators since gen one. But I was wrong, Haxorus isn't a wallbreaker. It can't easily get around skarmory, ferrothorn, slowbro, hippo, forro, etc. But it's a decent physical sweep, other than its average speed.

Re: POKEMON
Never used a damage calculator before.I was more interested in seeing what moves would 1 hit KO the opponent tbh.
Oh, something worth mentioning was my lil bro had managed to dig out our old GameBoy Colour with Poke Red(Blue was lost somewhere D:) We had some epic times discussing how awesome the graphics looked back then() and how useful the rare candy glitch was. (Lv100 everything FTW )
Though one thing I really hated about those old retro games was that horrible ghost tower were you needed special glasses to see ghosts. It gave me and my brother nightmares when we were kids. BAD MEMORIES.

Re: POKEMON
The way I remember it, we 8 year olds didn't care. We used to play our Game Boys and ask for help from each other after school or in the bus.
Pretty sure anyone who used the calculator 10 years ago were teenagers or adults.

Re: POKEMON
Calculators in Gen 1 didn't help too much, it was just too broken...
Anyway, I gotta admit that I can enjoy it more now that I know how some things work than I did 12 or so years ago when I was a kid and just wanted to have fun. It might not be as special anymore (anybody remembers the "HOLY SH-" reaction when witnessing the first evolution?), but I think I can appreciate the subtleties more now.
