Per week? Maybe 2½ hours. And that's during a high pitch season, like this one is (currently following 7 series, with a sporadic 8th*). On an off season? Maybe an hour per week, for weekly shows.
*Freezing, Index II, Infinite Stratos, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka, Dragon Crisis, Fractale, Bleach, with the sporadic one being The World God Only Knows
As funny as it sounds, even that 2½ hours makes me feel torn in so many directions it's uncomfortable and with everything else going on I end up feeling burnt out. My computer being an artifact** does not help this at all. A good part of that discomfort is the necessity to transcode the stuff to SD or sub-SD XviD so it can actually be watched. Thankfully I have access to setups that can do those conversions in 10-15 minutes, as opposed to 2+ hours, for a 24-minute episode. And then I have a balancing act with Internet browsing, compiling software, converting stuff (AMVs, trailers, or so forth) in preparation for DVD, and so on. Most of which I am stuck with this thing for.
**The specs are listed on my profile. Prior to New Year's 2010 the graphics card and half of the RAM weren't there (and the LCD I got maybe 5? months ago, I think; before that it was a couple of CRTs, but they have individual problems that are either completely impossible to work around or are incredibly annoying).
I will admit that some of that apprehension might be due to finding some shows - that I do have all the episodes of - exceptionally taxing to watch (*cough* Durarara!! *cough*, that took me five months to get through, since this past September), which makes it seem like a chore to even watch other stuff. I tend to avoid this situation well, but sometimes recommendations from others or wanting to know what all the buzz is about gets the better of me; it doesn't always pan out. If I had a better computer setup and a far more comfortable place to sit while watching, it would likely be a much different story.
