Full time college student in my final semester (6th year!).

My on-campus job is pretty much the lamest thing ever: I take out the recycling for my dorm. You may laugh, but consider this: I can work whenever I want, at whatever pace I want, without the interruption of other people because I can wear headphones and ignore everyone. Moreover, it pays the same as every other campus job and gets about the same number of hours, AND it's in my own dorm, so I don't even have to leave home to do it. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

After college, I would like a job as a translator. I'm a non-teaching Spanish major and French minor with the ambition to learn more languages. We'll see what happens...

I would like to be a music video director. Let's see where I will end when I'm done studying. I don't think that I can make a living of doing only music videos. Especially at the beginning. There is still a lot of other interessting stuff to do.

Oh well I almost forgot that I work at a cinema. lol

I am a freelance motion graphics designer. Up until earlier this month I was a full-time motion graphics designer, but unfortunately was laid off due to corporate restructuring. Oh the joys of working for a big multi-million dollar corporation.

I am currently a intern/staff accountant at a local CPA Accounting firm. My duties include: office bitchery*, individual 1040/1040EZ [without 1120 or anything overly complex] tax returns, data entry**, e-filing and payroll tax processing***. I am also a full time junior accounting student taking 16 hours. I graduate in EXACTLY one year. <3

I also am a freelance web designer that does a lot of local website design.

I HAVE NO LIFE. ;__;

*AKA: Scanning, copying, filing, mailing, e-mailing,delivery.
** Hand entering W-2 and 1099/1098 or things of that nature.
*** I have about 20 clients that I am responsible for.

I'm working on my PhD in English (Rhetoric and Communication Design, NOT Literature), and make my money from a mix of teaching, research and scholarships. I've been teaching a variety of classes for 5 years now, from being a TA in linguistics and media studies, to running business/academic writing and public speaking classes on my own lately. For research, I work for a research group that's slowly spinning off an upstart company. We work in automated text tailoring generally, medical communication specifically. A lot of what I've actually done has been interviewing doctors and other medical professionals, and designing/helping them design text models and templates for various patient education materials and programs - from brochures to text messages. I've also done a bit of video editing for this job, mostly for little software demos. Neither of these jobs is full-time, but added together they make things bearable money-wise, and mostly-bearable as far as workload on top of my academic obligations.

Otherwise if you count an academic year as 2 full-time semesters, then this is my 11th year in university. I already have a bachelors in Linguistics and a masters in Applied Language Studies, and about half a doctorate in this English thing. So I guess I'm kind of a lifer

IT helpdesk at a container terminal in Gdansk.
I also occasionally write reviews and other articles (think I still have an article about AMV Hell translated into english on my HDD somewhere if anyone's interested ;-) ) for a small polish m&a magazine, though that's more of a hobby than an actual job.

How'd I miss this post?

Hey, there is this REALLY annoying plane that flies over my house when I'm trying to sleep. Not that I'm asking for favors or anything, but I do happen to have a really nice stack of anime and video games that I'm willing to part with. |:>

I would if I could, but there's too much military/government red tape to go through for me to do so, sorry...

I'm in my final year of high school. I've applied for university for translation, though I'm considering switching to religious studies for self-enlightenment.

I'm also a wilderness instructor, which means I take over educated, spoiled, rich adults and kids out in the bush for weeks at a time where I get to watch them snap from the bugs, isolation and physical strain, which is satisfying in a way I can't explain and hate. I'm also a 12 volt car accessory technician, meaning I install everything from remote starters to car stereos to amps to subs to speakers etc. Yeah, I've spent five years on wilderness instruction training and since I was very little being trained by my father for car accessories. Fun stuff. (Not sarcasm, I actually enjoy it very much.)
