fuckin fire fuck, internet arguments are pretty damn retarded, especially if it's about internet censorship. Comparing internet communities with each other is pretty damn retarded too, since they're pretty much irrelevant to each other, but I'm gonna do it anyways, since I'm already taking part of an "internet debate." I've seen forums that allows unregistered users make posts, I've seen where you need to be a registered user in order to view certain posts and communities where you need a certain number of posts to view stuff. I've seen communities where you can only choose certain avatars, and communities that redirect you to faqs/rules if you make a certain posts. That's pretty much all the communities I've seen since I've never really explored that much, but out of all those communities, this one is pretty relaxed compared to the larger communities I've seen. Would it be alright to compare this to the larger ones? Looking back when I first joined, this seemed to be quite a big community; however, it doesn't seem as large now than it used to be. And if you ask me why, I would probably say it's the lack of censorship. Have you ever heard of don't bite the hand that feeds you? I'm pretty sure there is a reason why they say that. Of course, the hands that feed us seem to be quite forgiving. If anything, we should be thankful for that, and should be thankful for how relaxed this community is, and also be thankful the administration/moderation is doing this for free and on their own time. If you think otherwise, well then, good for you. I disapprove of what you have to say, but I, I myself, won't defend to the death your right to say it, but maybe somebody else will.

It's obvious that this is a problem to me considering the amount of threads created for it in site suggestions, and it's the biggest complain about the forum's functionality that I hear about. I hear about it a lot, too. It used to bug me big time when I couldn't edit my posts, being a donor now, this no longer applies to me anyway. I still feel it is an issue that needs to be talked about, though. Then again, why bother? In fact, let's just completely scrap the redesign forum too while we're at it. Why improve what people are bitching about? I'll have to get off my ass sometime and make a new banner for this place. "a-m-v.org - The Fake Sound Of Progress."

Have you ever considered that since it has been suggested in the site redesign forum, that the admin/mods have been/will be discussing whether or not to implement it? That's what it's there for, I would think. If it has been suggested, I would think making more threads about it is a moot point. If there are any problems, I would think it would be the lack of acknowledgment, or our misunderstanding of the lack of acknowledgment, as I would assume every suggestion made in that forum (as well as the other forums) has been acknowledged and have been/will be discussed amongst themselves.

I don't know if it's a matter of "Censorship" or whether it's something used or not used in another forum boards. It's just a nice that would help to correct/add more things to a post. I doubt there's a deeper meaning on it.

Joey, I don't know about other ops in IRC but i've always allowed you to talk about drugs, we have discussions about it all the time in irc. The line is when you talk about obtaining and distributing. "I can hook you up with such and such" is a lot different then "i'm so f'ing buzzed on blah blah blah." I'm not going to let you run a dealership in the chatroom.

What's weirder is that there's people that are pretty much staples around here for a decade that haven't donated.

I've provided 12 years of entertainment. This site should donate to ME. :ying:
