Jokingly flirted with someone who's gay. He flirted back and then I scared him away. :(

Two lovely things today:

Mother's unemployment ran out the day before last. She can possibly re-apply, but I doubt she'd get much out of it. This throws a monkey wrench into my plans to move her out, because she will no longer be able to cover even a portion of her own bills whilst I cover the rent (which I was doing for six months as compensation to let me keep her car). I would instead be covering ALL of her bills. Combine that with all of the bills I have for this apartment, and I just don't make enough money to pull this shit off. My bank account will be at a standstill, or a gradual decrease for the next who-knows-how-long, because I barely pull in enough to cover everything.

It's still a better plan than keeping her with me, however, because if I move her out, then I can move my best friend in, and it will relieve some of the pressure of the bills in this place.

The real annoyance is that if I start covering her bills, I can't just give her a lump of money and let her sort it out. I will have to pay each individual bill myself, including doing actual grocery shopping, because I can't trust her to not spend that money on stupid shit - like cigarettes, which she WILL prioritize over food, clothes, water, and electricity, because she has done so consistently in the past.

God, it's like I'm taking care of a mentally deranged child. And people wonder why I don't want kids. At least this one doesn't puke and shit everywhere.

For the second thing today, my mother sold our Super Nintendo. There are a lot of problems with this, and it's just another chip on the pile of reasons I frequently want to kick in her face.

1. She didn't say anything to me before doing this.
2. Half of the games she sold were ones that I had bought.
3. She didn't even sell all of the games, just the ones she could immediately find. So now I have a bunch of games with no console.
4. We are a family of gamers. You just don't fucking sell a gaming console in a family of gamers!
5. When I got angry, she said, "You weren't playing it anyway!," to which I responded, "I TRIED to take it with me to college, and you wouldn't let me, so I left it here. So don't give me that crap. I clearly expressed that I wanted it years ago, and I would've paid for it."
6. She said she did it to "pay bills," but you know how much she charged? Sixty bucks. You know how much a carton of her cigarettes costs? Yeah. Exactly.

You would think that this wouldn't upset me as much as the unemployment running out, but it does, because it tells me that Mom has gone to a dangerous point. She is now willing to get rid of sentimental things just to get some money. My childhood now has a price tag. She also sold off her old wedding ring and the new one that Douchey McAssclown on the internet bought her. Got her a whole twelve bucks, the both of them. How much you want to bet she bought a couple of packs of cigarettes with that, too?

awww -hug- I have a Super Nintendo if you want it, lol. No one has been putting any use to it for years, and it's just sitting and collecting dust in a bag. Not sure if it works though, but the last time I used it, it was working fine. "Last time" was like 10-12 years ago though lol.

I've lived this (though alchoholism was involved and played a major role) - the answer is tough to hear, but you have to get out and not look back. It will not change if you enable, you'll only be dragged down for the ride.

Woke up to an earthquake. At first I didn't think much of it, ignoring my bed shaking. But then my brother came out his room too and my mother told us there was an earthquake. Apparently, it was a big one with a magnitude of 7.8 and even though some of us did not feel anything (at least not in my area) 32 people died.
I'm a little worried about my friends because there was one in Dubai as well and I have friends there too.

I know the feeling, here it was a 8.8 magnitude in 2010, but luckily nobody of my
friends or family died, just some rooms destroyed in their houses. Hope everything
is ok there!
