I suppose I need to watch the next films now that I saw the first one (no way I'm spending time on reading the books.. :uhoh: ) Although from your descriptions it looks like there's going to be a lot of drama at the expense of politics. Screw the drama. No matter what the target audience is, books or films like this should have a proper subversive edge!

Now you just gotta wait for it to be made O.o

I think what draws you in with the books was the fact it was fairly suspenseful and that both of the first two books left you on a cliffhanger that made you want to know what happened next.

Don't stress it. The hype I think is a little too hyped, it was good but not the most amazing thing ever. I think that they were trying to market it a little too close to the same way Twilight was marketed to try to drag in a similar audience, but the triangle isn't as over the top stupid as Twilight was.

It still is worth the watch... Plus Star Trek lamp.

Yeah, I agree with this. I even recall Formspring having a sponsored Question of the Day that was "Twilight or Hunger Games?"*

As I posted when it happened, my grandfather died in June. Today was the memorial service...2½ months later (it was a nice service, though, even if it was difficult to understand the priest). And the jury still seems to be out on when the interment at the cemetery will take place (hopefully within the next couple days, though).

My sister really phrased it best when saying that our family puts the 'pro' in 'procrastinate'.

At least one positive of waiting this long is that there wasn't a lot of opportunity for those in attendance to get weepy. Most of that got worked out 2 months ago.

Long post ahead. Really just typing out everything that's been on my mind for a while.

Spoiler :
I wish I did better during my freshman and sophomore year in high school. I've really screwed up a lot when it comes to school. I plan to go to a community college next year (I'm a senior) and transfer into a university for my last two years. That is, if I do good enough. I would like to skip the community college part, and just go to a university or state, but I don't think that's an option. Not that I'm saying community colleges are bad. Just wish I could experience living in dorms and all.

The school I currently go to is full of idiots, and I'm pretty much learning nothing from my classes. It's mean, but honest. Some of my classmates don't even know that Oregon's a state, or what curiosity means.

I miss my old school, where all my friends are. I had to transfer last school year, because of credits. I was planning on transferring back once I got my credits back up, but that's mostly just hopeful wishing.

I'm not blaming anyone or anything for where I am now, though. Because I know that it's all me,and it's my fault for screwing up. I shouldn't regret though, because it makes me grow as a person and blah blah blah, but I do. Yet, I still feel in a slump. I feel, I guess, somewhat hopeless? Sometimes, I feel like I've hit a dead end.

Spoiler :
Also, my oldest brother might soon move away to Canada. I'm pretty much going to be alone if he does, since I only live with my him, my grandma, and my mom. My other brother lives in LA :/ My mom, even though I live with her, is never home til late at night, because she goes out everyday. So my brother (26) is basically the one taking care of us both. And it'll be harder when he leaves. I don't want my grandma having to take care of me lol.

The thought of losing my mom or grandma (knocks on wood) scares me. When my grandma, who's 91-92, passes away, we lose the house because of some stuff. And we don't have money, because my mom gambles, so I'd be homeless lol. If something ever happened to my mom, I'd be an orphan.

I don't like to think about this stuff that often, but I know that it won't make anything go away.

Just a long and silly vent. Feels a bit relieving to. By choice, I don't rant/vent to my friends much anymore.

Talked to my sister today. Apparently our dog is dying. She's had breathing problems for the past year or so, but now she's coughing up blood and such (the dog, that is). Poor girl.

Racist people.

I was serving these really old people (late 60) they gave me an attitude from the moment i told them "hello, my name is malik and ill be your waiter". at the end of theyre meal they told my boss my service was horrible (which i can accept, probably was horrible service. But trying to get a free meal out of the coupon you already had.[buy 54 dollars of food AND pay ONLY the tax] like Da fuck )

I can understand judging me for my personality
The way i dress
My attitude
but my skin.

i honestly didnt notice UNTIL my boss told me he was watching the entire time. the way you were treating them the service you provided and the way they reacted, they were racist.

and that fucking hurts. i try to be a good person. and... i cant even go in tomorrow morning with a happy face.

Naruto Ball Z Shippuden has finally been stolen, had my credits removed, and the song replaced...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQv6OOr-ojI

However, the editor flipped the video to avoid YouTube's filters, resulting in the subtitles at the end being reversed. :asd:

I don't know whether to laugh or facepalm.

Trying to decide if I want to take on an editing project. Went over the beginning of a book, it really needs work, I could use the cash if the person decides to go with me. But trying to decide if I wanna slog through it right now. /somuchalreadyonmyplateOMG.

@Mkid: at least your boss recognized they were douchenozzles D: (That sucks though, sorry you had to face that crap.)

Atleat on the train you can somewhat ignore it. It's worse a bus stop, or passing by some basquetball court, or a car...iunno.

Been looking for a really good, durable, long-lasting messenger bag to replace my current one. After hunting around and finding the exact one I wanted, I found that there were supposedly 4 stores within my city that carry the brand. Called all 4 of them today, all 4 are out of business. Really would like to get the bag prior to flying off to Colorado on Friday, but came up empty handed today. Finally just decided to order the thing online, with overnight UPS, but even that might not get here in time.
