Kind of, but not exactly a vent.

Found out today some guy I'm not friends with, but know and have talked to a few times, is in juvie. I'm not upset about it though. I'm posting in the vent thread because of why he's in there. He beat up a third grader. We're going to be starting the twelfth grade in two days.

I always thought he was a nice guy, though had some anger issues. But beating a little kid that's atleast 9 years younger than him? I've lost respect. :|

Wow..a 3rd grader, really? This guy needs his ass kicked, hard. He'll probably get it in juvie, though. So, I guess if the kid is ok, it's all good.

Guess I should have made more of an effort to see my grandfather again before he died. I've lost count of how many times this has happened. Everyone else must have taken notice though, I don't even get phone calls from the people who were there, letting me know any more.

You can only do so much. Things happen, you get distracted, time goes by. It does suck when you're left out of the loop though. When my grandfather died, either I completely forgot about it or no one felt the need to inform me. Didn't find out until several weeks, if not a month, later. I kinda expected it though so I wasn't surprised much or angry that no one told me. Mostly just sad that I didn't get a chance to see him between my Dad's passing and when he passed away. Again though, only so much you can do. Considering he was 3000 miles away, it made it rather difficult.

The moral of the story: don't dwell on it too much, you're only human.

Bashar I felt the same way before my Grandad died.. I think that's a common feeling for people in a similar situation. Also it's extremely hard to be around when you can see someone is literally wasting away :( so don't be too hard on yourself k?

Thanks everyone - I only feel so bad about it because the same thing happened with my grandmother and my mother and in all cases I was living less than 40 miles away and had really shitty excuses for not making the effort.

Random panic attack today. Got to work, tried to take a call and I got really out of it/upset very quickly. Sat in call work for like 20 minutes trying to calm myself, took 2 more calls and used up about 15 minutes of my lunch. Called Matt to try and talk me down, he told me to leave. Went home, took a xanax, slept for 5 hours. Up now, still very @_@ and bit achy, but much better. Hopefully I'll be ok to give it another shot tomorrow.
